MCP credits are separate from your dashboard research quota: using the MCP does not reduce your dashboard allowance, and the other way around. Upgrade from the Plans page.

What costs a credit

A successful call to a search or detail tool costs 1 credit, whatever the number of results. The helper tools are free. Calls that fail are free: invalid arguments, unknown items, search outages, rate limits, and plan or quota refusals never cost a credit. Each page of results is a separate call, so fetching page 2 costs another credit.

Monthly reset

Credits are monthly, including on yearly and quarterly subscriptions. They reset on your monthly credit renewal date, the same date your dashboard research quota resets. If Copyfy has no renewal date on file, the allowance covers the last 30 days on a rolling basis and resets_at is null. Unused credits do not roll over. To see your balance, ask your assistant “How many Copyfy credits do I have left?” (it calls the free get_usage tool), or open the Integrations page. Both show credits used, credits remaining, and the reset date.

When you run out

Search and detail tools return the quota_exceeded error with your usage and the reset date. list_filter_options and get_usage keep working. You can:
  • Wait for the reset date shown in the error.
  • Upgrade from Growth to Pro for 3,000 credits per month. The new allowance applies within a minute.

Rate limit

Each Copyfy account can make 30 tool calls per minute, across all connected clients and API keys. Above that, calls return rate_limited with a retry_after_seconds value. Rate-limited calls are free.

Result limits

These limits keep responses fast and readable for AI assistants.

Save credits

  • Let the assistant call list_filter_options first. It is free and avoids failed searches with unknown filter values.
  • Use precise filters (niche, country, revenue range) instead of paging through broad results.
  • Ask for the number of results you need, for example “the top 10”, so the assistant requests one page.
